Registration Information

Q: Are refunds available?
A: No. All registrations are non-refundable.

Q: Is my registration transferrable?
A: No. All registrations are non-transferrable.

Q: Is my online registration secure?
A: Yes. CharityEngine protects all of your information through secure online processes. Your information is available only to Race for a Soldier for race related purposes.

Q: Can I register on race day?
A: There is no registration on race day.


Race Information

Q: Will there be RFAS 10 Miler pace groups?
A: Yes, there will be pace groups.

Q: Do we have to run to join this or can we walk the 5K?
A: Runners and walkers are welcome for the 5K.

Q: Are iPods or headphones allowed on the course?
A: Yes, iPods, walkmans and other earpiece music devices are allowed on the course. If you choose to wear one please be extra cautious and mindful of the volume of your music and your presence on the course.

Q: Are baby strollers/joggers or un-registered friends allowed on the course?
A: No. Baby strollers/joggers, baby carriers, in-line skates, bicyclists, or unregistered runners are not allowed on the course to ensure safety for all participants. If you need child care services for the day of the race, click here.

Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?
A: No animals are allowed on the course.

Q: Is wearing a time tag mandatory?
A: Yes, your timing tag allows for official times to be recorded and accurate calculation of placement. Exact instructions are provided with the timing tags.

Q: Will finisher medals be awarded at the end of the race?
A: Yes, the top qualifiers for various categories for the RFAS 10 Miler and 5K will receive finisher medals. All runners will receive a Race For A Soldier dog tag for finishing the race (while supplies last).


Packet Pick Up Information

Q: Is it necessary to pick up my race packet?
A: Yes. Your race packet contains necessary race information. Click here for more information on Packet Pick Up.

Q: Is my race shirt included in my packet?
A: For the RFAS 10 Miler and the 5K Run/Walk, your race shirt is included with packet pick up, but not in your packet. A shirt will be handed to you in the size you listed on your registration form. If you are registering day of, your shirt will not be guaranteed in your size because pre registered runners receive priority, so show up early. Packet Pick Up starts at 6:15 AM on race day; click here to learn more about Packet Pick Up.

Q: Where and when can I pick up my race packet?
A: You may pick up your packet the day before the race at Best Western PLUS Wesley Inn & Suites in Gig Harbor, or on race day starting at 6:15 AM at the Packet Pick-Up tent. Exact details will be posted on our website homepage prior to race week.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to pick up my packet?
A: Please bring a photo ID. It is always a good idea to bring a print out of your race registration confirmation email as well.
